Age Old Organic Starting Soil
Age Old Organics Starting Soil is formulated for germinating seeds indoors or out. May also be used for root cuttings and small transplants. There is sufficient nutrient in the mix for germination and growing of young seedlings. No additional fertilizer should be added until they are transplanted.Uses: Use for germinating seeds, root cuttings and small transplants. Fill container or flat to within 1/2 inch of container top.
Seed Germination : Moisten soil. Plant large seeds to a depth of about twice their width and about one inch apart. Cover lightly with additional Starting Soil. Small to medium seeds, place seeds about 1/2-3/4 inches apart and cover lightly with soil. Water lightly so the seeds are moist. Also can dip the pot or flat in a larger container holding water for bottom watering. Once the seed has sprouted & shows three true leaves, thin seeds to 1-1 1/2″ apart in flat or one plant per pot.
Rooting: Take root cuttings, dip in rooting compound & place into moisten soil. Gently press soil around cutting. Water lightly, preferably using bottom watering methods. Mist cuttings to keep plant & soil moist.
Contains: Vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, bone meal, sulfate of potash, volcanic rock dust, kelp meal, soy flour, dolomitic lime, gypsum and yucca extract that are OMRI certified.
